Why should I hire a wedding coordinator?

The average wedding takes more than 250 hours to plan. Today’s lifestyles are hectic, so hiring a coordinator can help you handle the stress and pressures of planning. Wedding coordinators do not make decisions for you but they assist you in making decisions. It is always good to have a 2nd opinion that is not of your moms, friends, or family.

Questions to ask your wedding planner:

How long have you been a wedding coordinator?

How many full-service weddings do you personally coordinate each year?

How many wedding day only weddings do you coordinate each year?

Do you employ other people to help you plan events?

Is there an extra charge for additional staff?

Do you charge for an initial meeting?

If you charge for the initial meeting, is it applied to my cost of coordination should we hire you?

What is the largest wedding you've managed?

Who signs the vendor contracts? Do we pay you the fee for the entire event and then you pay each vendor or do we contract with vendors separately?

How many hours does it take you to plan a wedding?

How many hours are included with your package?

Will you help with the processional and recessional?

Do you help with setup and tear down?

Will you bring an emergency kit?
